HomeMy WebLinkAbout3631 Ordinance } l ORDINANCE NO. . AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLANNING AND AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE CITY OF PASCO. WHEREAS, the Pasco City Council did on December 4, 2000 adopt by Ordinance No. 3450 establishing a revised Transportation Element Comprehensive Plan for the City; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on September 18, 2003 and following discussion, unanimously recommended that the Transportation Element of the Comprehensive Plan be amended; and, WHEREAS, the responsible official for the State Environmental Policy Act has determined the recommended plan amendment will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the quality of the environment; and, WHEREAS, RCW 36.70A.130 permits amendments to Comprehensive Plans no more than once every year unless an emergency is declared; and, WHEREAS, the City Council finds there is an immediately need to amend the City's Transportation Element of the Comprehensive Plan and declares an emergency; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds the Planning Commission's recommendation will aid the City in addressing transportation needs within the City; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Transportation Improvement Program identifies needed improvement projects. These projects are prioritized in the City's Six Year Street Plan. The Transportation Improvement Program including the Six Year Street Plan and any amendment thereto are hereby adopted and incorporated by reference in the Transportation Element of the Comprehensive Plan. r a CP.7. 1S MAJOR STREET PLAN Map No. 6 depicts the Major Street Plan for the Urban Growth Boundary. This map identifies the backbone of the City's fixture street network illustrating the general location of future arterial an&streets, collector streets, interchan eg_s, and freeway connections.
