HomeMy WebLinkAbout3563 Ordinance ORDINANCE NO. 3563 AN ORDINANCE concerning the Pasco Public Facilities District and amending Ordinance No. 3558. WHEREAS, the City Council created the Pasco Public Facilities District through the adoption of Ordinance No. 3558, and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 3558 contemplated that the Board of Directors of the Public Facilities District would be appointed within sufficient time to permit its organizational meeting to occur within 60 days of the enabling ordinance; and WHEREAS, compliance with the statutory procedure for appointment of the Board of Directors has consumed more time than initially expected; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 3558 shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Organizational Meeting. The District shall be established as of the effective date of this Ordinance. Within 60 90 days after such date, the City Manager or his designee shall call an organizational meeting of the initial PFD Board, giving at least three days' advance written notice to each PFD Board Member, unless waived in writing. At such meeting, the PFD Board shall organize itself, may appoint officers, and shall select the District's place of business. Section 2. This Ordinance shall become effective after passage and publication as provided by law. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco at its regular meeting this I6t`' day of September 2002.
