ORDINANCE NO. 3556
AN ORDINANCE vacating the North/South alley in Block 1,
Long's Addition and Block 119, Pasco Land Company's 1St
Addition.
WHEREAS, a qualified petition has been submitted to the City Council of
the City of Pasco requesting vacation of certain public rights-of-way within the
City of Pasco; and
WHEREAS, from time to time in response to petitions or in cases where
it serves the general interest of the City, the City Council may vacate rights-of-
way; and
WHEREAS, all steps and procedures required by law to vacate said right-
of-way have been duly taken and performed; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the north/south alley in Block 1, Long's Addition
adjacent Lots 1-4 and 6-10 and Block 119, Pasco Land Company's 1St Addition
adjacent Lots 4-6 and 17 and 18, as depicted in Exhibit "1" be and the same
are hereby vacated.
Section 2.. That the City shall retain an easement and the right to
exercise or grant easements with respect to the vacated alley described in
Section 1 above, for the construction repair, and maintenance of public utilities
and services.
Section 3. That a certified copy of this ordinance be recorded by the
City Clerk of the City of Pasco in and with the office of the Auditor of Franklin
County, Washington.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days after
passage and publication or summary publication as required by law.
FAILED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, at its regular meeting
July 1st, 2002.
