ORDINANCE 3496
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 13.16.110 OF THE PASCO MUNICIPAL
CODE ENTITLED "UNLAWFUL CONNECTIONS".
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, has
determined that certain amendments regarding Pasco Municipal Code
13.16.110 are necessary; NOW, THEREFORE;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 13.16.110 of the Pasco Municipal Code be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows (deletions by interlineations,
additions by underlining):
13.16.110 UNLAWFUL CONNECTIONS. It is unlawful for any person to
make connection with any fixture, or connect with any water main or pipe
belonging to the municipal water system of the City. It is unlawful for any
person whose premises are supplied with water to furnish water to additional
premises unless he shall first make application in writing on the form
furnished for that purpose in the same manner as on original application for
the installation of water service. When additional premises are served or
connected without application, such premises may be charged at double the
rate for the time such service is permitted, and the service may be shut off by
the Water Superintendent and a charge t*ve ,dellars as set by Section
13.16.090(e) made for shutting off and turning on the water. It is the policy of
the Water Department not to hereafter install single meters for multitudinous
service and to discontinue those now in use as soon as convenient and
practical.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage and five days following its publication as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco at a regular meeting this
