ORDINANCE NO. 3472
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 1.10.010 "NUMBER OF DIVISIONS-EQUAL
NUMBER OF VOTERS IN EACH" BY PROVIDING FOR DISTRICTS
BASED UPON POPULATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 1.10.010 entitled "Number of Divisions-Equal
Number of Voters in Each" of the Pasco Municipal Code, shall be and hereby is
amended and shall read as follows:

POPULATION IN EACH. The City is divided into five voting districts. Each
district shall eontftin registered ve be as nearly fts praetie equal in fttnuber
to those jit every other distriet. The Gity's permement voter registration list shallbe
population as possible: compact as possible, consist
of geographically contiguous area, configured as to not favor or disfavor any
racial group or political party, and to the extend feasible, coincide with the existin
reca ized natural boundaries so as to preserve existinvy communities of related and
mutual interest.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take full force and effect five (5) days after
its approval, passage and publication as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, and approved
as provided by law this 21" day of May, 2001.
