HomeMy WebLinkAbout3436 Ordinance f ORDINANCE NO. 3436 AN ORDINANCE concerning compensation for Cemetery Customer Service Representative. WHEREAS, the position of Cemetery Customer Service Representative, with primary duties including the sale of goods and services, has been established within the City and, WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish compensation for the position, and WHEREAS, the income for the Cemetery fund is derived primarily from the sale of goods and services, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is appropriate, based on industry standards, for a portion of the compensation to be based on commission on sales; Now, Therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The wage scale for the Cemetery Customer Service Representative shall be set at Grade 34 per the City's current schedule for non- management, non-represented positions. Section 2. In addition to the compensation set forth in Section 1, the City Manager is authorized to provide for additional compensation in such amounts as shall not exceed 5% of the selling price of such goods and services sold at the Cemetery and, in the judgment of the City Manager, are sold as a result of the efforts of the individual designated to fill the duties of Cemetery Customer Service Representative. Section 3. In all other respects compensation for the position shall be according to such ordinances or policies as are in effect for non-management, non-represented positions in the City. Section 4. This Ordinance supercedes any conflicting prior Ordinance or conflicting provision of a prior Ordinance. This Ordinance shall take effect five (5) days after passage and publication according to law.
