HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999.01.04 Council Minutes MINUTES REGULAR MEETING PASCO CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 4, 1999 CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Charles D. Kilbury, Mayor. ROLL CALL: By Deputy City Clerk. Councilmembers present: Michael Garrison, Joe Jackson, Chris Jensen, Charles Kilbury, Dan Lathim, Rebecca Francik, and Carl Strode. Also present: Gary Crutchfield, City Manager. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. CONSENT AGENDA: MOTION: Mr. Garrison moved to approve the Consent Agenda. Mr. Lathim seconded the motion. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. Consent items are as follows: A) _Approval of Minutes: To approve minutes of Regular Meeting held December 21, 1998. B) Bills and Communications: To approve General Claims in the amount of $390,428.64 ($86,889.48 being in the form of Wire Transfer Nos. 3235 through 3236; and $303,539.16 consisting of Claim Warrants numbered 111674 through 111870). (1998 expenses.) To approve General Claims in the amount of $13,37035 consisting of Claim Warrants numbered 111871 through 111893. (1999 expenses.) Payroll Claims: To approve Payroll Claims in the amount of $1,111,065.59; Payroll voucher Nos. 13952 through 14621. Bad Debt Write-offs: To approve bad debt write-offs for utility billing, ambulance, cemetery, Municipal Court non-criminal and criminal accounts receivable in the total amount of $41,451.73 and, of that amount, authorize $38,820.60 be turned over for collection. PROCLAMATIONS AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS: None. VISITORS: None. REPORTS FROM COMMITTEES AND/OR OFFICERS: Chamber of Commerce Luncheon - January 4, 1999: Ms. Francik reported that the luncheon was the kick-off for the Ag Forum being held at the TRAC Facility. PUBLIC HEARINGS: None. - 1- MINUTES REGULAR MEETING PASCO CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 4, 1999 ORDINANCES/RESOLUTIONS NOT RELATED TO PUBLIC HEARINGS: ORDINANCE NO. 3338 AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING WAGES AND SALARIES FOR CERTAIN NON-REPRESENTED PERSONNEL FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1999. MOTION: Ordinance No. 3338 was read by title only. Mr. Garrison moved to adopt Ordinance No. 3338, concerning wages and salaries for certain non-represented personnel for calendar year 1999. Mr. Lathim seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None. NEW BUSINESS: None. MISCELLANEOUS - INCLUDING SUGGESTIONS FROM COUNCIL: None.
