RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION declaring the City Council's intent to sell a 40-acre parcel on Road
40 East.
I� WHEREAS, the City of Pasco owns a 40-acre parcel of land adjacent Road 40 East, which is
served by the city's water and sewer systems and is zoned for industrial use; and
WHEREAS, the city desires to encourage industrial investment in the vicinity of Road 40 East and
to expand the community's tax base in general; and
WHEREAS, the sale of all or part of the subject parcel for appropriate industrial use and timely
development may encourage more and similar industrial investment to occur in that vicinity; and
WHEREAS, the subject parcel does not appear to be necessary, now or in the foreseeable future,
for bona fide public purposes and,therefor, is surplus to city needs; NOW,THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
Section 1: The City Council, as authorized under PMC 2.46.030C, hereby declares its desire and
intent to negotiate an agreement for the sale of all or portion of the 40-acre parcel adjacent Road 40
East, legally described below:
The north half of the north half of the southwest quarter of Section 34, Township 9 North
Range 30 East W.M of Franklin County, Washington, as recorded March 10''' 1934 under
County Treasure's Deed No. 413 Records of Franklin County, Washington.
Section 2: Any interested purchaser may submit to the City Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m.,
November 25, 2008, a written proposal to purchase said property or portion thereof, provided the offer
contains the following information:
Description of the property desired for purchase
• Proposed purchase price
• Intended use(s) of the property
• Estimated value of construction/improvements(by phase if applicable)
• Anticipated completion date of each phase of improvement
Section 3: The City Manager is hereby directed to obtain an independent appraisal of said lots,
solicit offers in accordance with this resolution and to negotiate a purchase and sale agreement with the
preferred offerer,provided the agreement shall be subject to City Council approval.
