Old Business
❖ Carleen stated that she found the goals set by Paul and Vince after the
Senior Center study took place. She will be working on those goals
that can be achieved as the budget permits.
New Business
❖ The 2010 Volunteer Appreciation Reception will be held on Thursday,
April 22nd.
❖ The 2010 All-Senior-Picnic is scheduled for Thursday, September 23rd
Pasco is this year's host city so the picnic will be held at TRAC.
❖ Vince updated the committee on the 2010 Foot Care program. A new
nurse has started working. This will allow the two part-time staff
members to better coordinate and see as many clients as possible.
Vince also told the committee that the Foot Care program may lose
funding at the end of June 2010. There are postcards in the Foot Care
area that clients can take to send to State representatives and the
Governor to help save the program. These postcards were provided
by Yakima County Aging and Long Term Care. The postage has been
paid so all that needs to be done is a return address and maybe a
personal message about how important this program is to our seniors.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned at 10:35 am. The
next meeting will be held Tuesday February 9 2010 at 10:00 am.
Chairperson will be Richard Brandt.
