MEMBERS PRESENT MEMBERS ABSENT Dwayne Speer, Chairperson Mary Gutierrez Lisa Gemig Dennis Duncan Daniel Gottschalk STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT : Rick White, Director, Sophia Aquarius, Secretary, Mitch Nickolds, Manager, Debra Scott, Code Enforcement Officer, Erin Roginski, Code Enforcement Officer, Martin Barajas, Code Enforcement Officer. APPROVAL OF MINUTES : Mary Gutierrez made a motion to accept the minutes of July 2 , 2009 as amended. Lisa Gemig seconded, motion carried unanimously. COMPLIANCE HEARINGS : ( 1 ) City of Pasco vs ROMERO HERACLIO & ESTHER (CEB2009-0210) 2107 N. 201h Avenue VIOLATION: • Over 15 junk, unregistered vehicles being stored on this property. • Miscellaneous debris located in public view on this property. • Auto parts . • Parking vehicles on an unapproved surface . PMC 9.62 .0509 25.70. 150 (2a-d), 9.60.030 (6), (9), 25.78.030 (4), 25.78. 140 CODE BOARD DECISION : Board ordered that ROMERO , HERACLIO & ESTHER be given 30 days to correct all remaining violations with an additional 30 day extension for extensive work in progress ; or pay a daily penalty of $ 50 per day for 10 days . (2) City of Pasco vs BOWEN JESSIE (CEB2009-0404) 817 S . Maitland Avenue VIOLATION : • Miscellaneous combustible debris . • Combustible dried weeds . • Unsecured, unsafe, vacant, dilapidated building on this property. PMC 9.60.030 (6)11 (16), 9.60.0409 9960.070 CODE BOARD DECISION : Board ordered that BOWEN, JESSIE be given 10 days to correct all remaining violations; or pay a daily violation of $ 50 per day for 10 days . (3) City of Pasco vs SOHAL DEVELOPMENT LLC (CEB2009-0504) 1800 W. Lewis Street VIOLATION: • Large quantity of trash, litter and debris located on this entire property. • Dilapidated fencing located on the front of this property. • Weeds on this property. • Dead, dying or failure to maintain commercial landscaping on this property. • Unlicensed stationary vendors (2) located on this property on the weekends. PMC 9.60.030 (6), (11), (15), (16), 25.75.020 (B2), 5.04.020 CODE BOARD DECISION: Board ordered that SOHAL DEVELOPMENT. LLC pay an immediate penalty of$400 for a second repeat violation and that they be given 10 days to correct all remaining violations; or pay a daily violation of$100 per day for 10 days. DETERMINATION HEARINGS A. Dismissals Lisa Gemig made a motion to accept Resolution No. 2009-8 as amended, Mary Gutierrez seconded, motion carried unanimously.
