HomeMy WebLinkAbout03052009 Code Enforcement Board Minutes CODE ENFORCEMENT MINUTES MEETING OF MARCH 5, 2009 Chairperson Dwayne Speer called the regular meeting of the Code Enforcement Board to order at 7:00 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT MEMBERS ABSENT Dwayne Speer, Chairperson Mary Gutierrez Lisa Gemig Dennis Duncan STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Rick White, Director, Sophia Aquarius, Secretary II, Mitch Nickolds, Manager, Jake Hickman, Cross Connect Specialist and Code Enforcement Officer Debbie Scott. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Mary Gutierrez made a motion to accept the minutes of February 5, 2009 as mailed. Dennis Duncan seconded, motion carried unanimously. COMPLIANCE HEARINGS: (1) City of Pasco vs. MENDOZA, RAMIRO (CEB2008-1021) 1327 N 22ND AVE. VIOLATION: Trash, litter and miscellaneous debris located in public view on this property. Dilapidated front fence. Junk vehicle storage. PMC 9.60.030(6),9.60.030(11),(12) CODE BOARD DECISION: Board ordered MENDOZA, RAMIRO to pay an immediate penalty of$200 for a repeat violation and pay $50 to reimburse the City for the cost of personal service of the notice. (2) City of Pasco vs. WHITE, MARK E(CEB2009-0071) 2417 W HENRY ST. VIOLATION: Burned out fan in the laundry area. (B)IPMC,Chapter 6,section 605.1 Mold in most all rooms. (B)IPMC,Chapter 3,section 305.3 Bubble in paint above the shower from a leak upstairs. (B)IPMC,Chapter 3,section 305.3 Toilet is not secured and if it is straight it will not flush(B)IPMC Chapter 5,section 504.1 Bathroom vanity is dilapidated(B)IPMC Chapter 3, section 305.3 Bathroom flooring is broken(B)IPMC Chapter 5,section 503.4 Kitchen cabinet is dilapidated, drawers missing, etc. (B)IPMC Chapter 3,section 305.3 Deteriorating wall in the bathroom. IPMC,Chapter 3,section 307.3,9.60.030(6) CODE BOARD DECISION: Board ordered WHITE, MARK E to pay an immediate penalty of$400 for a repeat violation; that they be given 30 days to correct all remaining violations; or pay a daily penalty of$100 per day. Upon vacancy of this unit, no tenant would be approved/occupied to live at this unit until the City approves. DETERMINATION HEARINGS A. Dismissals Mary Gutierrez made a motion to accept Resolution No. 2009-3 as amended, Dennis Duncan seconded,motion carried unanimously. OTHER BUSINESS: There being no further business before the Pasco Code Enforcement Board,the meeting was Eurn;E;2 p.m. Mitch tickolds, Secretary MN/sa
