HomeMy WebLinkAbout01082009 Code Enforcement Board Minutes CODE ENFORCEMENT MINUTES MEETING OF JANUARY 8, 2009 Chairperson Dwayne Speer called the regular meeting of the Code Enforcement Board to order at 7:00 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT MEMBERS ABSENT Dwayne Speer, Chairperson Mary Gutierrez Lisa Gemig Dennis Duncan STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Rick White, Director, Sophia Aquarius, Secretary II, Mitch Nickolds, Manager, Jake Hickman, Cross Connect Specialist and Code Enforcement Officer Erin Roginski. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Dennis Duncan made a motion to accept the minutes of December 4, 2008 as mailed. Lisa Gemig seconded, motion carried unanimously. COMPLIANCE HEARINGS: (1) City of Pasco vs. SCHNABEL, BRUCE & DEBORAH (CEB2008-1014) 1416 N 1 ST AVE VIOLATION: Unpermitted structure, unpermitted farm animals in residential district, trash, litter and miscellaneous debris in various areas of the MH park, household furniture and appliances being stored in public view,junk, unlicensed vehicles being stored in public view, unpermitted vehicle repair, and parking on an unapproved surface; grass. CODE BOARD DECISION: Board ordered SCHNABEL, BRUCE & DEBORAH to pay an immediate penalty of$200 for a repeat violation; that they be given 30 days to correct all remaining violations, with exception to installing gravel placement for off street parking for tenants to be completed no later than May 1, 2009, or pay a daily penalty of$100 per day for ten days. (2) City of Pasco vs. CHAVEZ RUFINO (CEB2008-1026) 1409 W WASHINGTON ST VIOLATION: Junk inoperable vehicle under repair and debris on the property. CODE BOARD DECISION: Board ordered CHAVEZ, RUFINO be given 10 days to correct any remaining violations; or pay a daily penalty of$50 per day for 10 days. DETERMINATION HEARINGS A. Dismissals Lisa Gemig made a motion to accept Resolution No. 2009-1 as amended, Dennis Duncan seconded, motion carried unanimously. OTHER BUSINESS: There being no further business before the Pasco Code Enforcement Board, the meeting was adjourned at 7:52 p.m. IA Mitch Nickolds, Secretary MN/sa
