• On-going services, activities and classes
o Free Foot Care: For seniors 60 years of age or older that reside in Franklin
County or Burbank is offered at the Pasco. An appointment is necessary and can
be made by calling 545-3459. There is no charge however a suggested donation
of $10 per person is gladly accepted.
o Walking: Monday through Friday, 8 – 10 am in the multi-purpose room
o Enhance Fitness (ages 40 +): An exercise program designed for mature
individuals, focusing on stretching, flexibility, balance, low impact aerobics and
strength training. This program is an evidence-based senior exercise program
developed and managed by the University of Washington Health Promotion
Research Center, Senior Services of Seattle/King County and Group Health
Cooperative.

o China Painting: Learn the art of Painting on Porcelain. This is an open class so
there is no instructor however the more experienced painters would be happy to
help you. Students must provide all supplies.

o Dance, Dance, Dance (ages 40+): Enjoy live music from the Columbia River
Dance Band. Sponsored by the Pasco Senior Citizen’s Association.

o Meals on Wheels: Enjoy a delicious and nutritious lunch. Reservations are
required 24 hours in advance and may be made by calling 509-543-5706. *$2.75

o AARP Tax Aide (all ages): Need help preparing your 2011 income tax return?
Let the trained volunteers with AARP Tax Aide help. Please bring your 2010
income tax return, all of your information for 2011 including property tax
information if applicable, unemployment compensation, all 1099 forms,
dependent care provider information, all receipts or canceled checks if itemizing,
your Social Security card and photo I.D. An appointment is necessary and can be
made by calling 545-3459. *No services available 2/20/12

o Senior Citizen’s Prom: Come dance the afternoon away! Area 6 DECA which
consists of students from Tri-City area high schools is sponsoring this FREE senior
citizen dance.

o Senior Art Show Exhibition and Sale: Come join us as we showcase a variety
of art created by senior citizens throughout the Tri-Cities and surrounding area.
There is no admission fee to enjoy the art. Donations will be accepted and will be
used by the Pasco Senior Center to provide programs and services that benefit
Senior Citizens in our community.

Vendor Registration: If you are over the age of 55 and would like to enter your

vendors from around the area showcasing their products. Come check us out as

Vendor Registration: If you are a vendor and would like to take part in our
Spring Bazaar please call or pick up an application at the Pasco Senior Center.
Please indicate the kind of items you will be selling during the event. Vendors
must read and sign the waiver which indicates what items are not allowed.

o Shipwreck Beads: Beginning Jewelry Technique class and a trip to SHIPWRECK
BEADS- whether you’re a beginner or advanced this trip is for you! On Monday
evening we will learn the basic techniques of bead stringing, layout and assembly,
the proper use of crimps, tools, and findings to enhance your pieces and finish
your project professionally. Not a beginner? Bring your works of art to the class to
share ideas and techniques with others. On Wednesday, take the knowledge you
learned from the class, and travel with us to Shipwreck Beads. Boasting an
impressive 80,000 square feet, Shipwreck Beads in Lacey, WA carries the largest
selection of beads in the world. Whether it’s elegant crystals from top names like
Swarovski and Preciosa; beautiful gemstone beads; or the more earthy selection
of bone, horn and shell beads, not to mention seed beads in every size and color,
Shipwreck Beads has it all, and all at very low prices. They also carry a large
selection of tools, findings, and stringing supplies, everything you could ever need
or want to pursue your passion for beading. We will supply each registrant with a
Shipwreck Beads catalog ($10 value) to peruse during our ride to Lacey. Upon our
arrival, we will enjoy a tour of Shipwreck Beads and a basic bead stringing demo.
Each registrant will also receive $15 off their first purchase at Shipwreck Beads!
(Registration includes Beginning Jewelry Technique class, transportation, catalog,
tour, demo, and $15 off first purchase at Shipwreck Beads.) The cities of Pasco,
Richland, and Kennewick are collaborating to bring you an even bigger selection
of classes to participate in! All cities will be hosting registration, and you are
welcome to register at any location. City residents receive a discount when they
register through their respective cities.

numbers and spectacular stage-craft, MARY POPPINS is everything you could ever
want in a hit Broadway show! So get swept up in the fun of this high-flying
musical the New York Post gives 4 out of 4 stars and calls “a perfect piece of
musical theater.” We’ll travel by motorcoach to Spokane and partake in a
delicious dinner at Anthony’s Homeport Restaurant before enjoying the production
of Mary Poppins. Fee includes transportation, dinner, gratuity, and Broadway
ticket (orchestra seating rows K, L, and M).
