RESOLUTION NO. 4783
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON,
ADOPTING THE FRANKLIN COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE SOLID WASTE
AND HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR YEARS 2026 TO
2031.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of RCW 70A.205 each county within the state, in
coordination with the various cities located within its boundaries, shall prepare a coordinated,
comprehensive solid waste management plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco and Franklin County entered into an interlocal agreement
for the preparation of a solid waste comprehensive management plan, approved by Council on
July 21, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the Plan was developed to address comprehensive solid waste and hazardous
waste management issues and includes all of Franklin County; and
WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Advisory Committee has overseen the preparation of the
Plan, and recommends adoption.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PASCO, WASHINGTON:
That the Pasco City Council does hereby adopt the Franklin County Comprehensive Solid
Waste and Hazardous Waste Management Plan for Years 2026 to 2031, and
Be It Further Resolved, that this resolution shall take effect immediately.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, on this 21st day of
September, 2026.
