CALL TO ORDER
City of Pasco Historic Preservation Commission was call to order by Vice Chair Marilynn Baker.
ROLL CALL
Commissioners Present: Marilynn Baker and Devi Tate
Commissioners Excused: Dan Stafford and Jay Hendler, there was no quorum.
Staff Present: C&ED Deputy Director Craig Raymond and Administrative Assistant II Carmen
Patrick
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Due to no quorum, the meeting minutes from July 7, 2026 will be reviewed at the next meeting.
UNFINSHIED BUSINESS
Sylvester Plaque
Commissioners Baker and Tate discussed the date of the Sylvester family's land donation for
the park. At this time, no definitive record has been located identifying the exact year of the
donation. If necessary, an estimated timeframe may be used. Carmen confirmed that she has
received the Commissioners' donations to cover the additional cost of the plaque. She will also
visit Sandy's Trophies to obtain a copy of the current plaque design and determine the
additional cost associated with possible date revision.

OTHER BUSINESS
• Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center
The Commissioners requested that Ryan Mahaffey attend the next meeting to discuss public
access to the center for community events, including the reasons it is not currently available for
public use and the anticipated timeline for when it may become accessible.
