TERMINATION OF INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
CITY OF PASCO
AND
FRANKLIN COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 3
CONCERNING THE EXCHANGE OF SERVICES AND THE TRANSFER OF ASSETS DUE
TO THE ANNEXATION OF THE ROAD 80 AREA TO THE CITY
This AGREEMENT is made and entered into this _____ day of _________, 2026, by and
between the CITY OF PASCO, a Washington municipal corporation, hereinafter called “City”,
and FRANKLIN COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 3, hereinafter called “District”. The parties
are referenced herein as the “Agencies”.
WHEREAS, the City and the District entered into an Interlocal Agreement dated
September 21, 2015 (the “Agreement”) wherein the City agreed to provide automatic Advanced
Life Support (ALS) services to the District at no cost to the District; and
WHEREAS, the District transferred title ownership of its Fire Station on Road 48 and a
water tender to the City; and
WHEREAS, it was agreed that the transfer of said property from the District to the City
and payments made by the City to the District to bridge any differences in costs and/or services
constitute full payment obligations as outlined in the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the District has become a signatory agency to the local Automatic Aid
Agreement; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by each of the parties hereto that it would be in the
best interest of the parties to terminate the Agreement as the Agencies have determined that the
District now has the ability to provide ALS services within its boundaries.
NOW, THEREFRORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Interlocal Agreement dated
September 21, 2015, between the City of Pasco and Franklin County Fire District No. 3 is
terminated effective March 1, 2026.
