ROLL CALL Board Members Present: Steven Gruenberg, Alex Thornton, John Morgan, Mark Middleton and Michael Harrington City Staff Present: Jesse Rice and Elizabeth Farrell APPROVAL OF MINUTES Approve the May 08, 2025, Parks & Recreation Advisory Board Meeting Minutes MOTION: Mr. Harrington move to approve the minutes from the May 08, 2025 Parks & Recreation Advisory Board meeting. Mr. Middleton second the motion. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE & BOARD MEMBER REPORTS Mr. Morgan noted how packed the swimming pool has been and expressed appreciation on the use of the facility. Mr. Morgan inquired about the recent shrub cleanup on 20th Avenue and whether the City intends to replace the landscaping. Mr. Rice stated the area is being assessed. STAFF REPORTS Staff reported on the topics that were provided in the PowerPoint. Page 1 of 2 Additional updates included:  Park Conceptual Design  Blvd. Standards Project  Park Standards Project MISCELLANEOUS DISCUSSION Mr. Harrington requested for a pool update. Mr. Rice reported that the new foundation has been completed. The dome will be arriving in August, with plans to install it mid-October. Mr. Rice announced that Tri-Cities was selected to Host FIFA games next year. This will include free access and 6 additional mini-events for Pasco. Mr. Morgan asked if the City is working with the new HUB, located in front of Gesa Stadium. Mr. Rice clarified the HUB is its own standalone business and not affiliated with the City. Next Meeting: September 11, 2025 NEW BUSINESS Mr. Morgan suggested that the next meeting includes any aquatic center updates.
