CALL TO ORDER
City of Pasco Historic Preservation Commission was call to order by Chair Dan Stafford.
ROLL CALL
Commissioners Present: Marilynn Baker, Malin Bergstrom, Devi Tate and Dan Stafford
Commissioners Excused:
Staff Present: C&ED Deputy Director Craig Raymond, Capital Improvement Project Manager Ryan
Mahaffey and GIS Specialist Caleb Kaufinann
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Commissioner Tate made a motion to approve the meeting minutes from May 6, 2025, with the correction of
the Railroad Committee update changed from Commissioner Bergstrom to Commissioner Baker. Seconded
by Commissioner Bergstrom, motion passed unanimously.
UNFINSHIED BUSINESS & PUBLIC HEARINGS
None
WORSHOP
• Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center Renovation and Expansion
Ryan. Mahaffey presented 3 concepts to the commission. Railway, Columbia River and Agricultural
Concept. The commission asked for a combination concept for all three. Ryan will come back with a
possible alternative.
MISCELLANEOUS DISCUSSION
100-year Centennial for the first commercial mail delivery flight
Commissioner Bergstrom provided an update stating they have not secured any state funding. They
received home movies from Walter Varney and are trying to locate Charlie Laird decedent or
original manufacturer of Swallow Aircraft.
• History of Pasco Story Map
Caleb Kaufinann presented the Commission with the new mapping project which delineates
historical sites. He also asked the Commission for more photos.

Meeting was adjourned the meeting at 4:47 pm.
