“Public Service Recognition Week”
May 5 - 11, 2024
WHEREAS, Americans are served every day by public servants at the federal, state, county, and city
levels. These unsung heroes do the work that keeps our nation working; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco is committed to enhancing the quality of life for all its residents
through dedicated public service; and
WHEREAS, City of Pasco employees (currently some 462 in number) represent numerous
occupations and trades, possess a broad array of skills and expertise, and put these to use with efficiency
and integrity for all who reside in or visit our City; and
WHEREAS, the employees of the City of Pasco play an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation
of essential services, including but not limited to public safety, infrastructure maintenance, administrative
support, and community development; and
WHEREAS, the diligent efforts, professionalism, and unwavering dedication of City of Pasco
employees contribute significantly to the prosperity, safety, and well-being of our community; and
WHEREAS, Public Service Recognition Week provides an opportunity to acknowledge and express
appreciation for the outstanding contributions made by the employees of the City of Pasco; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Pete Serrano, Mayor of the City of Pasco, Washington, do hereby proclaim
the week of May 5-11, 2024 as
“Public Service Recognition Week.”
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Official Seal of the City of
Pasco, State of Washington, to be affixed this 9th day of May 2024.
