Code Enforcemetn Meeting Mintues 03-07-2024MINUTES C1Cy of CODE ENFORECEMENT BOARD MEETING OW "_���0 City Hall -Council Chambers lip 525 North Third Avenue Pasco, Washington THURSDAY, MARCH 7, 2024 7:00 PM CALL TO ORDER Acting Board Chair Daniel Gottschalk called the regular meeting of the Code Enforcement Board to order in the Council Chambers of City of Pasco, 525 North Third Street in Pasco, Washington at 7:00 p.m. ROLL CALL MEMBERS PRESENT ME Duane Van Beek James Rawlinson Mary Gutierrez Daniel Gottschalk -Acting Chair Dwayne Speer PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Acting Board Chair Gottschalk led the Pledge APPROVAL OF MINUTES Board Member Speer moved to approve the February 15, 2024, Code Enforcement Board Meeting Minutes. Board Member Rawlinson seconded, and the motion carried. HEARINGS None CEB2023-1296 5621 W LIVINGSTON RD - FRANK & KAROLYN BITTRIC K. owner JESUS CONTRERAS, Code Enforcement Officer Description: Pile of leaves less than five feet away from adjoining property. Pile of small branches close to right-of-way. PMC 25.165.090 Violation: Compost box/pile located on this property is not in an approved location and/or is a nuisance. Corrective Action: Remove all vegetative waste, compost piles and boxes from the property or relocate such box/pile to an approved location in the rear yard at least 5 feet from any adjoining property. Maintain such box/pile in a manner so as not to create a nuisance. Description: Storing dry dead leave piles at the north end of property are not permitted. PMC 9.90.040 (6) Violation: Any parcel within the City which is filthy, littered or trash -covered due to placing, dropping, disposing, throwing away, or otherwise discarding litter, garbage, refuse, cans, bottles, paper or paper material, metal, organic or inorganic material on areas of the property other than approved garbage containers. Corrective Action: Remove and lawfully dispose of all litter, garbage, junk or vegetative waste on the property. Code Enforcement Board March 7, 2024 Proof of violation motion by Board Member Speer, seconded by Board Member Rawlinson. Board moved to give the respondent three weeks (3) to comply regarding the violation of leaves, or a two - thousand dollar ($2000) penalty will be imposed. Passed unanimously. AMENDMENTS CEB2023-0979 RESOLUTIONS Board Member Rawlinson moved to accept the March 2024 Resolutions, Board Member Gutierrez seconded, and the motion carried.
