I'm reaching out to you to see if you could help us. This last monday 2/26/2023 they closed the underpass to finish the bridge and along with that they closed from 3rd ave all the way to 1st ave. This has directly affected my business. Also all of the neighboring businesses on this plaza. I am so upset to think that the plans for this bridge took years to complete, yet the businesses on this plaza are not being taken into any consideration by the city. The finishing touches are set to take roughly 2 months to finish. They are currently tearing down the street (lewis st) for any customers to enter my shop is nearly impossible. How am I supposed to keep my business afloat for the next 2 months if the construction has directly caused me to have very little access to my own business? This is the issue with all the businesses on this plaza. We are all small family owned businesses. We cannot afford to take such a huge loss. Unfortunately I have been pingponged around without anyone giving me a straight answer. That is why this email was sent out to a few people with the City of Pasco network. I was first given the number for Kent, who is the construction manager. He then sent Andrew Hentyes, who tried to accommodate us by adding signs to state the businesses were still open on the plaza. Yet no one really can give me a direct point of contact to see who is going to resolve our issue. What can be done to help cover the losses for us? We too pay taxes, we too follow and obey all Pasco rules. We too create revenue and jobs in the city of Pasco. When speaking to all my neighbors I am not alone in my frustrations. We are all in the same situation and need answers. I personally went and got points of contact for all the businesses who need answers to resolve this issue. 1 have created a document and will attach it to this email. I would love to set up a meeting with the person who can fix our problems and every business owner on this plaza. Please feel free to contact me directly 509-528-2579.
