RESOLUTION NO. 4416
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO.
7 WITH TAPANI, INC. FOR THE EAST URBAN GROWTH AREA
EXPANSION SEWER LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 152 PHASE 1
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco (City) and Tapani, Inc. entered into a Construction contract
on December 15, 2022, for construction of the East Urban Growth Area (UGA) Expansion Sewer
Local Improvement District No. 152 (LID No. 152) Phase 1 Project; and
WHEREAS, Phase 1 involves boring 6 casings in various locations to allow the sewer of
the East UGA LID No. 152 project to be installed under major roads and BNSF; and
WHEREAS, previously approved Change Orders Nos. 1-6 were under the authority
provided to the City Manager and the Public Works Director; and
WHEREAS, proposed Change Order No. 7 installs a larger casing at the Clark Road and
BNSF bore site to mitigate the rocks that were located during the initial boring, and all associated
costs; and
WHEREAS, the $1,087,386.60 amount of Change Order No. 7 added to the cumulative
sum of previous approved Change Orders, exceeds the City Manager’s authority, and thus requires
Council approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, has after due
consideration, determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Pasco to enter into Change
Order No. 7 with Tapani, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PASCO, WASHINGTON:
That the City Council of the City of Pasco approves the terms and conditions of the Change
Order No. 7 between the City of Pasco and Tapani, Inc. as attached hereto and incorporated herein
as Exhibit A.
Be It Further Resolved, that the City Manager of the City of Pasco, Washington, is hereby
authorized, empowered, and directed to execute said Change Order No. 7 on behalf of the City of
Pasco.
Be It Further Resolved, that this Resolution will take effect immediately.
