Contract Purpose
The Workforce training tuition grant program through WSU Tri-Cities, organized by Visit Tri-Cities, provides
foundational core business skills that are necessary for successful business operations. The educational assistance
provided through ARPA will benefit City of Pasco residents and business owners.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, City of Pasco and Subrecipient acknowledge and accept the terms of this agreement and
attachments hereto and have executed this agreement as of the date and year written below. The rights and
obligations ofboth parties to this agreement are governed by:

AMENDMENT NUMBER 1 to
AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
CITY OF PASCO
AND
VISIT TRI-CITIES
WHEREAS, the City and Visit Tri-Cities, entered into an Agreement on 02/01/2023 for
the City to provide $10,000 for scholarship opportunities in the form of a workforce training
tuition grant to WSU Tri-Cities; and
WHEREAS, workforce training and development are crucial for maintaining skilled and
adaptable workforce in a rapidly growing communities; and
WHEREAS, the program has had great success, and there is need for additional
investment; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined an additional $10,000 for 2024 to continue the
support of the workforce training program is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, this agreement is amended to increase the amount of funds for
workforce training tuition grant for 2024.
1. Fund increase:
The City will provide an additional $10,000 for 2024; $8,500 for the workforce training
tuition grant ($8,500) and $1,500 for Visit Tri-Cities administrative fee; increasing the
overall authorization amount to $20,000.
2. Duration of Agreement:
No Change. The agreement shall expire on September 30, 2024.
