A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON,
APPROVING THE NAME, "SPARTAN PARK," FOR THE NEW CITY PARK
LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF PORTO LANE & SANTA CRUZ LANE
LOCATED IN THE MADISON PARK NEIGHBORHOOD.
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco Parks and Recreation Advisory Board has considered the
"Policy for Naming of City Park and Recreation Facilities" approved by Resolution No. 2499; and
WHEREAS, considering the best interests of the community, the Park and Recreation
Advisory Board has presented its list of recommended names for the new park located in the
Madison Park neighborhood to City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after full consideration of the Advisory Board's
recommended list of names, hereby adopts the name "Spartan Park" for the new park located in
the Madison Park neighborhood.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PASCO, WASHINGTON:
That the new park located in the Madison Park neighborhood be named "Spartan Park".
Be it Further Resolved that this Resolution take effect immediately.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, on this 17th day of April,
2023.
