Pasco,WA 99301 Dear Paul Allen, In answer to yaur question, "Will the value of my property go up if a proposed sewer line would be instailed approximately 200' behind our new home?" The information that you provided is that your new home was finished 12/17/2021 which including a new septic system. This is a newly built home, up to current codes, that is on a one-acre lot in the county and has plenty of space to replace the entire septic system if needed. Had this been an undeveloped lot, then the information about the value of the land going up by 20,000 dollars would have been correct. Yet,when the land has been developed with a new septic system, then running a sewer line behind the property to hook up to city sewer would not increase the value of the property. The fact is that it would bring an added expense to the property owner. The cost to hook up when you already have a brand-new septic system, and the monthly expense of being on eity sewer would be added expenses but will not change the resale value of the home. I hope that this will answer your question. Please feel free to contact me should you need further information. t°' Sinr2refy, + f' / if ' ' ` E lamie Mead [• Broker for Coldwell`aner Voetberg Each Office Is Intispedently Owned antl Operated.
