Related to this selection, RH2 prepared a Value Engineering Report evaluating different pretreatment options and comparing those to what is proposed in the Ecology -approved PWRF Facility Plan. RH2 is currently working on the design of water supply, increased electrical services, and additional winter storage ponds that will help support pretreatment improvements at the PWRF. The City has requested 131-12's assistance with managing the coordination of a treatment system that consists of the design -build of an anaerobic digestion system, renewably natural gas system, and a biological nitrogen removal system. Several third -party companies have approached the City with proposals to treat PWRF wastewater using methods that also will create renewable, marketable products. RH2 will help bring these systems into a coordinated 30 -percent design proposal for treatment improvements at the PWRF. This will also include an evaluation of the City's PWRF site for location and space requirements for the proposed improvements. Tasks to complete this project are outlined in this Scope of Work.
